Irony, thy name is Sarah....

I'd love to tell you about the rest of our week, how Ethan had a blast at the park with a bunch of new friends, and how excited we are to have friends from home visiting us from home, but I can't.

You see, for the past 12+ hours, I've been sitting on a toilet AND puking into a waste bucket. Ironic, no? I can no longer claim, as in my last post, to have only thrown up twice in my life, because last night, I got in a whole lifetime's worth. And let's just say that multi-tasking, in that department, is the single most disgusting experience of my life. Makes what Billy Beaulieu did in the 8th grade look like a hiccup. I may never eat again.

And while I feel hideous right at this moment, I have to admit there was a tiny little glimmer of "if I drop 20lbs from the fear of doing that again, I might actually be able to invest in a pair of True Religions. Oh, sweet jeans." But that's a whole other blog so I'll leave it alone here.

So the mystery is--food poisoning or stomach bug. The storm hit within an hour of eating dinner last night (and seriously, I can't even tell you what I ate because given what the last 15 hours have been like, I want to block it from my memory, forever). Let's just say, California Pizza Kitchen is OFF my list. Buh-bye. But then, Ethan did throw up on Monday, so perhaps he really did have a stomach bug (although it was nothing like this in severity, thank goodness) and passed it on to me? I don't know.

I do know that I have a houseful of guests arriving in 30-some odd hours and I am praying that it's food poisoning because really--who wants to spend their vacation bringing me glasses of Gatorade and scrubbing their own hands raw in an effort to avoid the sickies?? Bad hostess, bad!

And with that, I will crawl back into bed until the toilet and bucket beckon again.

Sorry you don't feel good. Hope you feel better soon!
Any chance you are pregnant (just asking because the last time I was really sick someone mentioned it to me - and guess what - I was pregnant!)...

Pregnancy was my first reaction too, but it does sound more like stomach bug or food poisoning (Hope its not the latter) and hope you are keeping yourself hydrated with one of those oral rehydration fluids...even pedialyte helps or the adult version. If it is the stomach bug that everyone says is going around then Papa Bear may be next. Hope all is well before the guests arrive..

I just had "the combos" a few weekends ago. You are right about it being the most disgusting thing ever. And nothing makes you feel worse faster. I hope you feel better really soon and that you're getting lots of rest in the mean time!

It's a sweet thought, but alas, no. I am not pregnant.

I am the opposite of you. Not the opposite in that I hate throwing up too, but the opposite in that if there is a whiff of a stomach bug, I get it. I have at least 3 of those 24 hour puke-fest's a year. It SUCKS. I feel your pain. At least it generally goes away as quickly as it descends....

Also, someone is all about hyperlinks now, aren't they? I need to learn how to do that...

My last bout of the stomach flu (which everyone in the house got--so lovely) was after a meal at Sala Thai--including Maya actually puking at Sala Thai. I never went back. And I meant to tell you that Sala Thai AND the CVS are now both gone...

Yuck. I hope that you're already feeling better. It's bad enough coming out of one end, but both at the same time? Those days ALWAYS suck.
Feel better!

I hope you're feeling better now.

That b*tch Karma! She got you, too! I feel your pain: was up at 1:30am the day of our flight out west with toilet blues (no puking, thank goodness) and then my toddler had some urgent bathroom business at the airport. Poor people in the stall next to us who had to listen to that, but at least we didn't have a nasty blow-out on the plane. Hope it was just something you ate and you're enjoying your guests!
